Tom Gehring is a board certified lawyer, which ensures that you have retained an attorney with the highest level of skill/competence in that particular area of law. Texas has a certification process for legal specialization in 24 different areas of the law and only less than 8% of attorneys in Texas are “board certified”.
Tom graduated from college in 1991 with a degree in psychology from the University of Texas-Austin. He knew while in junior year of college that he wanted to go to law school. However, he had no idea of what he wanted to do or what kind of law he would practice.
He graduated from law school in 1995 with a JD from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas. Upon graduation, he still did not know “what type of law do I want to do…“, and just like most of his classmates, he just wanted to get a job. It was in his first job out of law school with a small law firm in Clear Lake, Texas (25 miles south of Houston) that he was exposed to personal injury law and began representing individuals who had been harmed by others. Tom knew that is what he would do… help people get their lives back in order after they had been wrongfully injured.
He worked for three different personal injury law firms in the Houston area for about 10 years. Since then, he has been representing clients injured in different kinds of cases and helping each of them get the justice they deserve.
